The previous post brought back a Junior High memory for me. I do remember a visit to the principles office in 7th grade. I can't remember what we had done, but he lined us all up (about six of us) and took his paddle down off the wall where it always hung as a disciplinary threat and gave us all a spat on the backside. I can remember feeling chagrined, a bit humiliated but standing there with my face to the wall and giggling my head off.

Ahh yes, the infamous board of education. It was my punishment at times to manufacture the board in wood shop. I remember them well.
Ah - so that is where you learned your woodworking skills! Good to hear from you.
Oh, the good ole days of corporal punishment. Our kids have no idea. I got smacked with a yard stick in second grade along with the entire class because someone wouldn't fess up to stealing a lunch.
